Kikuyu is a coarse, creeping, warm season grass that spreads through runners. It is light green in colour and is suitable for full sun sites. It is best sown during the warm summer months. It is suitable for the warmer northern areas of NZ. It will turn yellow if hit with repeated frosts. It recovers well from frost and winter damage. Requires less water than the traditional cool season grasses.
For best results we recommend the use of a Starter Fertiliser at seeding time.
